A split system air conditioner consists of two pieces of equipment, an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. These units are connected using refrigeration pipework and communication wiring.
The modern day split system is an extremely quiet piece of equipment, capable of cooling you down in those hot summer months and warming you up in the cooler winter months.
Inverter split systems are a very efficient piece of equipment. The term inverter relates to the variable speed compressor motor in the condensing unit. Depending on the cooling or the heating demand the compressor speeds up and slows down to control capacity, giving you a much better and more accurate temperature control and a little easier on the pocket as far as power bills.
These are split ducted type systems, where again it consists of an indoor unit
and an outdoor unit. The indoor unit is usually located in the roof space where it is connected to special flexible duct work which enables air to be distributed to every room in the building.
